Why cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis?
Personal family connections to those suffering from cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis made these two diseases a natural target for the Global Partners leadership who were looking for meaning impact in charitable giving. In 2009 the CF & MS Fund was established and has since raised close to $12.5M of funds and crucial awareness for these two diseases. The CF & MS Fund continued this work through 2022, when Global leadership realized they needed to create more agility, more opportunity to expand impact, and more flexibility to do good. In 2023 the Global For Good Fund was created to continue the meaningful work supporting CF and MS, while being able to do good, however the call comes.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, funding more CF research than any other organization. The Foundation’s drug development model has been recognized by Harvard Business School and by publications such as Forbes, The New Yorker, and Bloomberg Businessweek.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society helps each person address the challenges of living with MS through a 50-state network of chapters. The Society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. The Global For Good Fund has helped establish the MS Navigator Program and Global employees continue to support the NMSS by participating in numerous Walk MS events throughout New England.
