Boats & Bands

Start the summer off right: boats, bands, and a brilliant way to give back to our communities. We're heading to the beautiful waters off Gloucester, MA to kick off our 2023 events with fresh air, great music, and did we mention boats?

Deadline for registration and Sponsorship Commitment is Thursday, May 25.

Wednesday, June 14

Registration and Breakfast

Early bird gets the worm! As you arrive in Gloucester on Wednesday morning, meet the Global for Good team at the Gloucester House for event registration. Here you’ll pick up your event swag, receive your boat assignment, and enjoy a delicious hot breakfast and Bloody Mary bar hosted by Alltown Fresh.

Guests who will be fishing should plan to arrive by 7:15AM on Wednesday, June 14. Guests who will be sailing can join us for a later start at 10:00AM.

Boats!

Fishing

After event registration and breakfast is complete, climb aboard one of the trolleys and make your way to the boat docks. From there you will head out for a day on the water with your captain and fishing crew, ready to reel ‘em in! Each boat will be stocked with boxed lunches and
a variety of beverages to keep you fueled throughout the day. Upon your return to the docks, transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotels to freshen up for the reception.

Sailing

Now it’s time to set sail on a magnificent 65ft long schooner, lunch and drinks will be served aboard! Upon your return to the docks,
trolley transportation will be waiting to take you to back to your hotel to freshen up for the reception!

Hotel Check-In and Happy Hour

After a day on the water, take some time to get checked-in to your room at one of the hotels. Once you’re ready, we’ll transport you back to the Gloucester House for a casual happy hour to kick off the night!

Reception

We hope you’re hungry… Dinner and reception will feature lavish offerings from Chef Joshua Smith and a team of chefs. From locally inspired cuisines to summer favorites, there won’t be a shortage of delicious dishes to indulge in! Dinner will be accompanied by a short program where you will hear our plans for the first year of Global for Good and how your funds will be doing good in our communities.
And what’s a dinner party without a little fun? Get your bid cards ready for our first ever live auction!

Bands!

We will cap the night off with an intimate, private performance by Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist from the Band of Heathens! Fresh off the first leg of their tour supporting the band’s new album, Simple Things, Ed and Gordy will share songs from the new album along with some classics from the Band of Heathen’s catalogue and even stories behind the music.

Once the night has come to an end, trolley transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel for a much needed night’s rest.
